Money efficiently refunded

I've shared poor reviews of BA's customer service in the past but, when asked to make a refund for a couple of return tickets between the UK and Canada, they were great. We got through on the phone quickly, and they returned our money within days. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Thank you BA

After initially complaining as British Airways sneakily made online refunds impossible, they answered my email requesting cash and refunded back to my credit card. It took around five weeks. I was more than happy to wait as these are difficult times for everybody, but stayed polite and patient as the staff are not at fault. Thank you British Airways

BA have removed GBP 30 fee for redeeming vouchers by telephone

British Airways advised me today that they have now removed the GBP 30 charge for redeeming the voucher by telephone. This is progress, as it was nowhere transparent that the charge had applied in the first place, given there is no other possibility to use the voucher. They also told me they were looking to make it possible to use the vouchers online, so things are getting better in response to the complaints made against them. Also NB all vouchers can now be used for flights up to 30 April 2022. I'm giving fours stars in the hope that they are now behaving more professionally!

Very efficent service.

Had a flight booked with BA in May. Telephoned the refund line today, (15/05/20). Was on the line for 15mins, which I did not feel was an extortionate amount of time given the current situation. An extremely helpful customer assistant named Indra, helped with our refund, quickly and efficiently. Have no issues with the service received in anyway. Thank you.

Very helpful, I'm a happy customer.

They were incredibly helpful before Covid-19 cancelled all the flights. My partner has arthritis, and they organised for us to sit next to each other on a 13 hour flight so he would be comfortable. My flights were cancelled for this journey, and of course, to be expected it was incredibly difficult to get through to them. Once I managed to get through to them, I was met with apologies, and the full refund was issued, it only took around a week or two for it to come through. I will certainly book and fly with BA again!

An excellent company

An excellent company. We have received regular communication regarding our flights to NYC. As soon as we were informed of our flight cancellations I phoned BA. After several attempts to get a phone connection it took me approx 20 minutes to connect with a Customer Services Advisor who was so helpful, professional & pleasant throughout. Once I explained our situation I was informed that a full refund would be processed. This was in our bank account within the week. Thank you British Airways!

Don’t give up!

We were going to celebrate both our 70th Birthdays in May by sharing a holiday in a villa, Southern Spain by flying by BA. After numerous calls over several days, today I manage to get in touch and explain my situation. I was immediately offered a refund by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. So my advice is to keep trying, BA are willing to help but are overwhelmed with the number of calls. Good Luck. Stay Safe.

I expected a bad experience requesting…

I expected a bad experience requesting a refund today based on what I have read and heard. After holding for about 5 minutes, the refund request was processed. It will take 6 weeks for the money to get on my credit account, but this is OK. The person I spoke with was extremely nice and even asked about my welfare because I sounded down. I cannot fault the company so far, working through these extremely difficult circumstances.

In comparison to the budget airlines…

In comparison to the budget airlines flying with BA is so much better and more enjoyable. Lets face it flying is no longer looked at as a premium luxury experience, its basically a glorified bus ride. That said i would still rather spend my time cooped up with hundred of other people in a BA cabin than almost all other airlines. I would give them 5 star but on occasion i have been bumped onto other so called partner airlines when trailing with then which is very frustrating.

Can't Fault

The service with British Airways is the same whether in the air, on the ground or the phone EXCELLENT. They were fantastic when I called and asked about a cancellation advice was wait till second leg was cancelled to get full refund. Did just that.I booked using avios and credit card called to upgrade there was a fee. I was informed every penny/point paid for flight luggage would be refunded.Love this airline. Disappointed that I may never find a deal as good as the one I had before. Other than that can't fault them.Fly safe stay strong BA.

Hats off.

Holiday was cancelled and BA refunded immediately. I can't thank you enough. The customer service was outstanding, giving us all options available from postponing to vouchers to flight changes to refunds. I'm having some real problems with other travel institutions withholding money, so from now on, given the level of service, loyalty and honesty shown by BA in these difficult times, I will book my holidays through them in future. Even though they can be more expensive at times, you're getting the piece of mind and service. If you find yourself aggrieved with alternatives being offered by BA, it's actually what you agreed to, when you lied about reading the terms and conditions but ticked that little box anyway.

BA knows how to handle coronavirus disruptions.

I booked flights with BA that were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. I was sent an email, and given a link that I could use to instantly re-book my flights, free of charge. The experience was flawless, painless, transparent and devoid of stress or irritation.BA has my gratitude!I have also been attempting to rearrange / refund services from other companies, specifically, Transpennine Express and Eurostar - all of whom have delivered disgusting service and have failed to help me.

Excellent telephone service
