The Gruffalo room experience
Had a fantastic experience at the Splash Park thanks to Georgia! She went above and beyond to make The kids birthday a wonderful stay! The Gruffalo room was beyond anything. We actually felt like we was abroad on holiday. We will be back in the new year! Perfect!!

Disappointing resort stay, but friendly staff
We stayed 1 night in the Safari Hotel - it was a birthday gift so we booked the giraffe themed room that allegedly came with views over the Wanyama Reserve. We instead had a view of a flat roof below us from standard small sized windows, and an obstructed view of a small paddock.Our trip also allegedly included evening access to the Wanyama Reserve area & Amazu Treetop Adventure - it was closed but we received no prior notification that this wouldn't be available to us. Not exactly sure what we paid for - certainly won't be staying in one of the resort hotels again. Very sad that this is the case but the specified room inclusions did not exist in the extortionate rate paid. Hotel staff were wonderful, as were all the staff we encountered in the park itself. Very friendly and helpful. We'd requested a travel cot for the room which wasn't there when we arrived - we told reception who arranged for the cot to be brought up straight away - it was delivered within about an hour whilst we were out using the Savannah Splash Pool (which is brilliant!).The restaurant staff were very busy and harassed - some verged on rude. The meals were alright but totally overpriced - we had fries turn up with a kids meal that were completely covered in salt. No fruit options for dessert. Breakfast was included in our extortionate room rate and was very good. Again staff were overworked but thankfully breakfast was self serve.Very disappointed with the hotel stay, but we had a great 2 days at the park. Would definitely return, but certainly not too the resort hotels which is very sad but we'd rather pay a third of the price for the same standard room at a local Travelodge or similar, and book park tickets separately.Nobody has even asked us for feedback following our stay; maybe the company simply aren't interested.

Superb Day!
After reading all the bad reviews I was rather nervous to go, we booked our tickets via Clubcard. Arrived at 10 and went straight to The Gruffalo ride. Wait time said 80 minutes but we were on within 40. Queues themselves moved quickly and had lots to do whilst you wait for the kids. Managed to get on about 8 rides within the whole day (we left at 5) park itself was clean and staff very friendly. My little girl wanted a slush drink and as we walked away she dropped it, lady on the slush stall came to her rescue without me having to ask and got her a new one without extra charge. Staff were talkative and made my whole family feel excited about the rides. Yes queue times for the bigger rides were up to 2 hours but you get this at all theme parks? After seeing all the bad reviews, I couldn’t recommend it more and we will definitely be going back! The whole Gruffalo Party was absolutely amazing and my little girl was over the moon to see them all dancing about. Great work today Chessington! We will be back x

Great park
Great park, lovely staff, short queue times. Had a great day, staff were friendly & helpful all day. I would say this park best for younger families 0-12. Other parks (ThorpePark, Alton Towers) might have bigger range of rides for older visitors. Fantastic range of things to do.

Not much time
I went to chessington today and got on 6 rides.However that was it my son and me saw no shows no animals because the ques for the rides took all the time up they should open at 9 30 am and close at 8 PM during the school hoildays than at least theirs more time to do most of the park.

Don’t go out of your way to visit. May suit families with kids aged 3-12.
The rides. Average but fun, do not go expecting Alton Towers or Thorpe Park thrills or size of ride. There seemed to be a consistent number of rides closed for faults throughout the day; if it had been any busier than 20 minute queues we may have struggled to get all the main rides in.Price. Over priced for the age range they’re aiming for which I assess to be 3/4 yrs - 12. Facilities. Frustrating as even though it’s still the Easter Holidays for many schools, around 3/4s of all refreshment stands were closed.

So many people going in school holidays and complaining how busy it is.....what did you expect??? Yes it’s busy but my family and i had a great time.....kids 10, 8 and 2!

Visit on 11/04/19
We visited Chessington on Thursday 11th April 2019 and had a fantastic day. Every member of staff we came across was extremely polite, asking how our day had been so far and wished us well for the rest of the day. Queue times were very reasonable all rides were between 20 to 45 mins but didn't have to queue for longer than half hour. All rides were running smoothly. Our only disappointment was Room on a broom, where we did queue for an hour and it wasn't particularly busy, the queue seemed to move very slowly especially with the fast track queue as they seemed to let more of them through each time compared to the main queue. Once into the room it was very fast paced and if you were at the back of the group you missed part if not all of the next room. The whole experience was over in under 10 minutes and is definitely not worth the hour wait. Apart from this we had an amazing, fun filled day, as we always do when visiting Chessington. Our children's ages were between 11 and 2 years, plenty of fun rides suitable for all ages.

Great day out , me and my daughter saw the animals enjoyed the rides Truly a great day out. Next time we will stay overnight even though we can easily go home as only an hour away

Didn't like the way the animals looked thats if you could see any they should take a leaf out of paradise wild life park they have an amaxing park and the animals seem happier than any other soo I have been too The food and drinks where extortionate prices shame on you

Booked a party at Chessington for a 5yr…
Booked a party at Chessington for a 5yr old and an 8yr old.The beginning ran smoothly... The first animal meet and greet was dragged out time wise, and even though they swept and wiped the poo and wee off the floor from the animal they didn't disinfect it in anyway.After the food the children were meant to get dances and games but this never happened. Intact the party ended 20minutes early, and where only half of the children were due to stay in chessington it meant the others were left waiting around in reception for their parents to turn up.
