Excellent Customer Service, 1gbps broadband amazing
We have been with Virgin Media for 4 years and have had an excellent experience with their ultra-fast Broadband Service - the M350 fibre optic broadband was very reliable (until the recently publicised issues) and customer service very good. We have had discounts and price waivers on request at renewal, and love that the packages are all unlimited data.We have just moved to the 1Gb package - the new Hub 4.0 is much better than the previous hub so we are really pleased.

A very pleasant call!!
Today my star rating is 5 due to a very pleasant call with the member of staff named ROB HOLTHAM. He was very helpful, professional and friendly. He was efficiently able to provide a new deal for me and for my daughter. Sometimes I have frustrating calls with loud background noise, but not today.I would like Virgin to know that I'm thanking Rob for a stress-free and pleasant call. People are quick to complain, but maybe, not so quick to praise. I believe in credit where it's due.I would like Rob to know I've thanked him publicly. He made my day happier; I'd like to reciprocate. Thank you

Best Broadband - Worst Customer Service
Fact: Virgin Media have the fastest widely available Broadband Service in the UK (and probably Ireland).Fact: Virgin Media have the worst customer service.The main problem is, ceasing their services takes a lot of sweat and tears, and is rarely straightforward. Letters and emails remain unanswered (and not acknowledged).They love taking on new customers, discount prices, good products, but it all goes wrong when the prices go up at the end of the contract.They could be such a good company if they only had good customer service.

Virgin make money through bundles
Virgin make money through bundles, and any separate services cost a fortune.I'm annoyed freedom of choice is removed to shop elsewhere. Especially when you live in an area where tv antenna is too poor. Virgin broadband speeds are one of the best if not the best, but that with a competitor for tv doesn't work out financially viable. Virgin know this and package bundles accordingly. They also have uncompetitive single service packages, and whopping exit contract fees.Not a great deal of flexibility.So consumers think wisely as new customer deals climb hugely after year one and again options reduce and former packages are made very quickly obsolete

I love virgin
I love virgin, I have broadband only 350mb , my loyalty discount ran out so price went up, I rang them and they offered a new loyalty discount and reduced price by £10 a month for next 12 month contract , never had any issues with weak or dropping signal, I would never use another broadband service .

Broadband only
I'm on the broadband only deal and it does what it says on the tin.When it works the speeds are great but at peak times it really goes down, sometimes feels like I'm dial up again when it is fibre.Customer service is a bit of a mixed bag of who you get on the phone. I've had some excellent service to really bad.I do get a loyalty discount each time I ring to cancel as I've been with them a while and it does make it competitive. From what reviews I've seen of other companies they're all pretty much the same.

Beggers can't be choosers I suppose!
I am only with this company because I do not want to have a landline and TV service. I do dread when they write to me saying they are going to hike up the price of the broadband every year. When they do increase the price, coincidentally, the speed of the internet is abysmal.

Weirdly positive during this time!
Quite weirdly during this time, something positive has come from it. My 12month broadband contract has ended (VM200) and the price hiked up to £56. I phoned this evening and eventually got through to a northern girl after about 30mins on hold. Told her the predicament and was put back to £38 for another 12months. If that isn't customer service I don't know what is. I don't like the Indian Call centres they have no idea what they're doing and just pass you around! Credit to Virgin Media during this time! Let's hope the next Direct debit is £38 and not £56!
